We found that using Wix to create our website was useful in that it allowed us to show a range of aspects of our production for example, we inserted pictures and our trailer as well as informative information such as the synopsis. We decided to use a template for our website of a website that we though fitted the layout we thought would be suitable. By using a template it made it easier for us to gather all our information and pictures and made it look professional.
The colours we used in our website were black and red; this is because we wanted our website to reflect the genre of our trailer which is horror/thriller. We felt that when a fan or visitor looks at our website, they will immediately associate black and red with blood, violence and death. We decided to enlarge the title of the film to make it stand out on the page, we also decided that having a red title agaist a black background this is becasue the title ' The Return' suggests to the audience and highlights that the the person who is returning in the film is dangerous and violent. We used serif fonts for the title because we felt that the serifs at the end of the letters look almost like knifes which again connotes danger. also, we used tag lines 'how far would you go to get revenge' in a white serif font, this makes the audience believe that the film is about one persons revenge on another person, this may appeal to a person who make like to see revenge plot storylines.
The audience can get involved in our website by liking the film on Facebook or following our film on Twitter, this will allow us to bring in a lrger audience as someone who may have watched our film may write about it on Twitter or Facebook which could interest another horror fanatic to go to the cinemas to watch our film.
