We decided to create a storyboard so we have a clear indication of the types of shots that we need to film and how the trailer will progress in terms of narrative as trailers tend to jump from one scene to the next. The storyboard also will help us to see the what our trailer could look like if we followed and filmed the shots we have included in our storyboard. However, when filming for our trailer we might find that some of the shots we have included in the storyboard may not look appropraite or we may think of new shots that will enable us to make our trailer have more impact.
